Face à cette vindicte populaire - qui a même poussé certains à créer une pétition en ligne -, les créateurs Craig Thomas et Carter Bays avaient indiqué qu'une fin alternative avait été tournée en parallèle, avec laquelle ils ont longuement hésité. Ce nouveau dénouement sera disponible dans le coffret DVD de la saison 9, le 3 novembre prochain. Que les plus impatients se rassurent, une vidéo a fuité avant l'heure sur Internet ce week-end.
